We were caught up in the Mallacoota bush fires. Stuck there for 4-5 days before being rescued by the navy. Returned to Melb and waited until Australia Day when we were flown back by the air force to collect our cars and trailer not knowing what condition they’d be in. All in all a pretty stressful period. Then we chatted with Bernie and Michael from claims both excellent to deal with. The trailer was written off and my partner got really sick and hospitalised. In this time Bernie and I spoke several times and reassured me that I had time to make a decision on salvaging the trailer if we chose to do so. Obviously with my partner being sick it wasn’t a focus of mine and I guess that was the reason I called so many times. Even though he was super busy he never forgot to ask about how she and I were. The little things mean so much.

He was so impressed with the way he was treated by our staff that he also took the time to provide the following feedback on Bernie:

Hi, i would like to take the opportunity to recognise the efforts of Bernie. I have been dealing with him over the last 2 months due to being a customer affected by the bushfires. We as a family have been through a hell of a lot and dealing with Bernie has been nothing short of amazing. My partner fell ill after the fires and we discussed that through our chats. since then every time I have spoken with him he has asked how she is, has helped me to no end in ensuring that we have had plenty of time to make decisions and feel at ease with where things are at. Bernie has been friendly, professional and most of all caring, to me the most valuable asset of all. he has been a great representation of your company. I really enjoy that fact that during the tough times we have been through, there’s a guy on the other end that JUST WANTS TO HELP!! awesome guy thank you so very much.
