Car karaoke shouldn’t be reserved for the bitumen. Off-road trips are arguably more fun, and a properly curated soundtrack is part of the adventure. Long dirt roads, red dust on the dash and endless horizons deserve more than radio static.
From Aussie rock classics to modern singalong bangers, Club 4X4 and our brand ambassadors have pulled together a set of playlists designed to roll with you through corrugations, creek crossings and long summer days on the road. Whether you’re touring remote tracks, chasing coastal camps, or ticking off big kilometres between fuel stops, these playlists are built to keep spirits high and voices loud.

Club 4X4 Team

The first stop on our mixtape journey was the Club 4X4 office itself. The result is exactly what you’d expect from a team made up of campers, tourers and off-road tragics.
It’s a melting pot of genres that somehow works perfectly together. Think AC/DC, Cold Chisel, Michael Jackson and Fleetwood Mac all sharing the same stretch of road. It’s wall-to-wall singalongs, familiar choruses and tracks that make even slow-going tracks feel lighter.

Adventure Intel Australia

Built for endless dirt roads, red dust coating the dash and teeth-rattling corrugations that shake you down to your bones. This playlist is built on a foundation of raw energy tracks mixed with a little nostalgia, making it a great companion for long Outback stretches where it’s just you singing along with some belters, with only the sky and the steady hum of the tyres in the background. It’s the soundtrack for washed-out tracks, neon sunsets and roadhouse stops in blink-and-you’ll-miss-it towns.

Pat Callinan

This playlist delivers big-sky country anthems and dusty-road singalongs and hits that sweet spot between windows-down energy and easygoing cruising. Luke Combs, Zach Bryan and Morgan Wallen keep the pace steady, while The Lumineers, Amy Macdonald and Xavier Rudd add those lighter, feel-good folk moments that make the kilometres roll by. Perfect for long hauls, small-town detours and those stretches of open highway where the only thing that matters is the next turn and the next track.

Bush & Bay

A playlist created on the road, for the road. We added songs as we explored the coast, headed off-grid, and filmed our Bush and Bay YouTube adventures. It’s a mix of the tracks that kept us company on long drives, the trending Instagram tunes we couldn’t get out of our heads, and the songs that just feel like road trips, campfires and wide-open spaces. Think of it as the soundtrack to our Bush and Bay overlanding journeys, and hopefully to yours too.

The Feel Good Family

Sun on your face, windows down, and that first hit of pure summer energy. Packed with road-trip anthems from Bryan Adams, The Beach Boys, Vance Joy, Dire Straits and all the Feel Good Family favourites you can’t help but sing along to, it’s the soundtrack to warm days, long drives and every coastal detour in between. Whether you're chasing the horizon, heading to the beach or just trying to boost the mood, these are the songs that make summer feel endless.

Why a Good Playlist Matters Off-Road

When you’re spending hours behind the wheel, music does more than fill the silence. It sets the pace, keeps fatigue at bay and turns long distances into part of the experience rather than something to push through.
Matched with good preparation, sensible tyre pressure and realistic daily distances, the right soundtrack can make remote touring feel calmer, safer and far more enjoyable.
