An easy savoury entrée to tickle your tastebuds while the main meal cooks

Entrée: Makes 4 skewersPrep time: 15 minutesCooking time: Approx. 45 minutes

INGREDIENTS

4 chicken tenderloin strips (or large green prawns or yabbies, peeled & deveined)4 strips of shaved prosciutto3 tablespoons butter3 cloves garlic, crushed/minced/grated4 skewers trimmed to fit in your camp oven (soaked in water for 15 mins if wooden or cover the tips with foil)

METHOD

1. Pre-heat camp oven to a medium heat2. Mince or grate garlic and mix into butter3. Lay out one strip of prosciutto and spread generously with garlic butter4. Lay one prawn or chicken strip on the end of the prosciutto and wind until wrapped5. Thread onto skewer6. Lay skewers on trivet in camp oven7. Cook on high heat for 45 minutes (or ~15 if using crustaceans) with most heat from coals on the lid8. Spoon garlic butter cooking juices over cooked skewers prior to serving
