This week Ford announced that its leading safety advancements will now become standard across the Everest lineup. It means that the following safety features will be standard across all models:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection (new to Ambiente)
  • Lane Keeping Aid with Driver Alert System (new to Ambiente)
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (new to Ambiente)
  • Automatic High Beam (new to Ambiente)
  • Rear View Camera
  • Rear Parking Sensors
  • Cruise Control with adjustable speed limiteri
  • Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) incorporating ABS, Load Adaptive Control, Roll Over Mitigation, Traction Control and Trailer Sway Controli
  • Emergency Assistance (needs mobile coverage)
  • Hill Descent Control (4WD only)
  • Hill Launch Assist (4WD only)
  • E-locking Rear Differential (4WD only)

“The Everest has won many accolades, and we’re proud of that, but we are always looking to add the latest technology and the most advanced features for our customers,” said Ford Australia and New Zealand President and CEO, Kay Hart. “The addition of AEB on every model is part of our commitment to constantly improve our products, services and ownership experiences.”

Adding further cost of ownership advantages for Everest owners is an expansion of the Ford Service Benefits program. For the first four years/60,000km (whichever comes first), eligible customers will be able to service their Everest for a maximum recommended price of $299 (incl. GST) per A or B logbook service at participating dealerships.
