Chery Stockman x IRONMAN 4X4 mods announced

Last month, we dived into the announcement of the Chery Stockman, set to become Australia's first diesel plug-in hybrid ute. Now, Chery has followed that up by confirming its first accessories partnership with IRONMAN 4X4.

From the specs alone, we already know the Stockman won't be a slouch off-road. With triple locking differentials, low-range gearing, genuine ground clearance, a 3.5-tonne towing capacity, and a 350kW/800Nm turbo-diesel plug-in hybrid powertrain, it looks built for far more than the daily commute.

Of course, no ute in Australia stays stock for long. Thanks to IRONMAN 4X4, owners will have plenty of options to personalise and prepare their Stockmans from day one.

The launch accessories range includes all the touring and off-road essentials Australians love:

  • APEX Bull Bar - A full-width triple-hoop aluminium bar featuring a 12,000lb winch cradle, two rated recovery points and a 4mm front skid plate.
  • Premium Side Rails & Steps - Steel side steps offering sill protection, available with or without matching side rails. Slip-resistant powder-coated treads improve cabin and roof access.
  • Raid Roof Rack - A low-profile aluminium roof rack designed for strength, reduced wind noise and a factory-style appearance. Optional light bar mounting is available.
  • Raid Canopy - Available with solid or glass doors, the all-aluminium canopy can be optioned with central locking. It weighs approximately 70kg fitted and supports 180kg dynamic and 380kg static roof loads, with storage, dog window and roof bar options available.
  • Roller Drawers - Aluminium drawer systems offered in multiple heights, complete with integrated fridge slides and close-fitting wing panels.
  • Rear-Step Tow Bar - Rated to match the Stockman's 3.5-tonne towing capacity and featuring integrated rated recovery points.
  • IM2.5 Suspension - Delivers a 50mm lift front and rear, with spring options suited to either 200kg or 300kg constant loads.

Perhaps most impressively, IRONMAN 4X4 has committed to matching Chery's seven-year factory warranty on accessories ordered with the vehicle. The products have also been engineered and validated to OEM-level standards.

And there's more to come. Following launch, IRONMAN 4X4 plans to offer a federally approved GVM upgrade package, including front and rear axle-load increases.

The Chery Stockman was already shaping up as one of the more intriguing ute launches on the horizon. Now, with a full suite of touring and off-road accessories ready to go, it's looking even more appealing.

Safe to say, Chery might just be onto something here.
