The Big Red Bash, the world’s most remote music festival, is fast approaching kicking off this year on the 10th July just under 3 weeks away. With less than 100 tickets remaining, if the Bash is on your 2018 travel plans it’s time to get your tickets before they are sold out.

The Big Red Bash is famous for its line-up of iconic Australian artists set in an amazing outback location with the Big Red Dune as the stage backdrop and with John Farnham headlining this year’s Bash. But there’s so much more to this festival for all the family that make it a fun-filled few days in the desert.

This year some of the events happening before the main stage include:

  • Mal Leyland talking about his 1967 and 1972 crossings of the Simpson Desert in Landrovers before vehicle any tracks, followed by a screening of Wheels Across the Wilderness which features the 1967 crossing on the Big Screen
  • The Bashville Drags and Fashions in the Desert – Great fun for young and old
  • The Crackup Sisters Homestead Shows for the kids
  • Amber Lawrence – Kids Gone Country – Country music shows for the kids
  • A Guinness World Record Attempt at NutBush Line Dance – Raising funds for the RFDS
  • The Inaugural Outback Air Guitar Championships
  • All day sand sliding on the Big Red Dune
  • Camel Rides
  • Helicopter Rides

For those rolling into camp early, there will be a movie on the Big Screen and a covers band hitting the main stage to keep you entertained until the Bash kicks off on Tuesday 10th July.

You can choose to get involved and take part in some or all of these exciting activities, or simply sit back and relax at camp waiting for the artists to hit the main stage.

If you are sitting on the fence about attending this year, it’s now decision time!
