Buying an XLT Ranger and having to ditch the factory tub so you can add your own aftermarket tray or canopy will soon be a thing of the past, with Ford Australia announcing today that from December, the Ranger will be available as a Cab-Chassis option from the factory.

Pricing will vary by dealer, but it is expected to be about $1,000.00 cheaper per variant for the Cab-chassis, as well as save the hassle of removing the factory tub and selling/disposing of it.
