As we near the end of what has been another big year, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to our customers, partners and particularly to our team who have done a tremendous job in difficult times.

COVID continued to create challenges at a personal and business level in 2021. Not being able to get out and enjoy the lifestyle was my biggest challenge – and I’m sure I’m not alone. I hope everyone has made it through and supported each other, and I sincerely hope that everyone gets to spend time with their loved ones over this coming Christmas.

At Club 4X4, we used 2021 to work on the business. We successfully launched what I feel is the most tailored Roadside Assistance product available, which has enjoyed an incredible take-up rate amongst our customers. We assessed our business and processes, adding more staff across 3 states to better cater to our customers’ needs and our desire to provide an experience befitting a 4X4 Enthusiast, whilst allowing for scale into the future. Finally, we worked diligently on planning for next year and beyond.

I am pleased to announce that in 2022 we will be launching new products! Our Vision is ‘to be the Insurer of Choice for the 4X4 Enthusiast’ and throughout our history this has been what we’ve strived for. Our focus has meant we have developed an unmatched product that truly caters for this lifestyle. What we do know however, is that 4X4 enthusiasts have insurance needs that surpass 4X4 and the trailer they may be towing or slide-on they attach. Which is why early in the New Year we will be launching our Daily Drive Motor product.

The product will be designed to protect the non-4X4 capable car that you drive every-day, if you’re lucky enough to keep the four-by as a weekend toy! You will be able to add this product to an existing policy, or a new policy alongside a 4X4 or trailer cover. The idea is to maintain one payment and renewal date and take advantage of a discount of up to 10% off across the policy. I look forward to sharing more detail with you in the coming weeks!

Lastly, we are looking forward to being able to get out to shows, events and out on the tracks to enjoy the lifestyle and bump into as many customers as possible along the way.

From my team and I, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.

Happy Touring

The Golden Rules of Off-Road Towing

Off-road towing puts big loads through every part of your vehicle, and if the setup isn’t right, things can unravel quickly. Broken components, poor control, and near-miss moments usually come back to the same few fundamentals. Get those right, and towing in the bush becomes predictable, controlled, and far more enjoyable.

Planning Fuel Stops for Remote Area Travel

Fuel planning for remote travel doesn’t need to be complicated, but it does need to be conservative. It’s about understanding your real-world consumption, knowing how far you can comfortably travel, allowing a buffer, and choosing fuel-carrying solutions that are simple and easy to live with.
