How do windscreen claims work?

Does windscreen cover include rear or side windows?

Yes, Club 4X4’s optional windscreen cover includes front, side and rear window glass — not just the windscreen. Sunroofs and roof glass are not included.

Why do windscreen repair and replacement benefits differ between policies?

Windscreen repair and replacement benefits can differ depending on when your policy started or was last renewed, and which insurer underwrites your policy. For policies underwritten by QBE (with a start or renewal date on or after 1 August 2025), free windscreen chip repair may be available as an additional benefit, while windscreen replacement is available as an optional extra. For policies underwritten by Hollard (with a start or renewal date on or before 31 July 2025), windscreen repair and replacement are available under the optional windscreen cover, with replacement subject to a $1,000 limit. Always refer to the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for full details.

Is windscreen cover excess‑free?

Yes. If you’ve selected optional windscreen cover, an eligible windscreen or window glass claim is excess‑free.

Does windscreen cover apply off‑road?

Windscreen cover applies to eligible windscreen and window glass damage, whether it occurs on‑road or off‑road.

Is windscreen cover available for modified 4WDs?

Yes, optional windscreen cover can be added to insured 4WDs, including those with disclosed modifications.
