Recovery gear royalty MAXTRAX have gone big while staying small with their latest giveaway build, which has been dubbed the Toyzuki 39.5. This fully loaded tiny tourer comes with everything you’d need to explore Australia, including 12-months of Club 4X4 insurance that covers such a heavily modified 4X4 for what it’s really worth wherever the winner can legally take it. To enter for free, click the link at the bottom of this article and get your entry in before August 20th 2023, or read on for a closer look at what’s on offer.

‘Toyzuki’ is a portmanteau of ‘Toyota’ and ‘Suzuki’ to highlight the blend between the timeless styling of a 70-series Toyota LandCruiser and the compact yet capable Suzuki Jimny base this beast has been built on. Everyone who has seen it has done a double take as the tough tourer silhouette created by the Australian Expedition Vehicles ute chop with a Concept Canopies box on the back makes it easy enough to mistake for a ‘Cruiser, especially in the classic colour of Sandy Taupe, but we feel that calling it the ‘Toyzuki 39.5’ is selling it short as surely it stacks up to more than half of a 79?!

From the Torqit snorkel, AFN bar work and Rhino Rack roof storage with Teralume lights wired in by Custom Off Grid Solutions as well as a REDARC system right down to the one-off J-MACX and Airbag Man suspension with a set of ROH rims and Black Bear tyres, the Toyzuki is a hamburger with the lot. The canopy even comes with an Engel fridge in an MSA drop slide loaded with beer from Your Mates, surrounded by tools from Kincrome and Makita, and of course recovery gear from MAXTRAX.

There aren’t many options to insure such a heavily modified vehicle, especially if it’s heading off-road. The Toyzuki 39.5 is right up our alley though, with the base vehicle covered by Club 4X4 for an agreed value of $35,000 with a whopping $70,000 of modifications and accessories covered too for a total sum insured of $105,000.

We’ve added to this our maximum value of $10,000 for Australia-wide personal effects cover, up from the included $2,000 to account for all of the portable gear that this rig will be carrying, like the fridge, tools and recovery gear.

We hope that the Toyzuki’s new owner will be putting it to good use, so we’ve also upgraded the policy’s off-road recovery cover from the included $1,500 to the maximum of $30,000 for peace of mind when heading remote. We even threw in our optional excess-free windscreen cover!
