Ingredients:

  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 8-10 rashers maple bacon
  • 1/2 cup pickles, diced
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapenos, diced
  • 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
  • 125g beef jerky, finely diced
  • American-style burger cheese slices
  • Crispy French fries potato chips
  • Burger buns
  • Butter
  • Mustard (optional)

For the BBQ Sauce:

  • 200ml BBQ sauce
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Splash of bourbon

Method:

  • In a bowl, combine the minced meat with salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into patties weighing either 200g or 250g each according to preference.

  • Assemble the maple bacon for later use.
  • Dice pickles and pickled jalapenos, then mix them together for the burger's final touch.
  • Finely chop the white onion and dice the beef jerky.
  • Prepare the BBQ sauce by mixing BBQ sauce with a hint of pepper and a generous splash of bourbon.
  • Cook the burger patties in a pan until they are perfectly done with a light color. Add cheese slices on top of each patty, cover the pan, and splash some bourbon over the patties. Let the cheese melt onto the burger, infused with the bourbon flavor.

  • In another pan, sizzle up the maple bacon until it reaches desired crispiness.
  • Assemble the burger by buttering the bun. Place the burger patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun. Layer on 1-2 tablespoons of the pickle and jalapeno mix, sprinkle on diced onions, pile on the crispy bacon, and generously heap French fries potato chips. Add a hearty garnish of diced jerky on top.

  • Crown the burger with 1 tablespoon of bourbon BBQ sauce and a generous squeeze of mustard if available.
  • Assemble the burger, place the top bun on, and get ready to enjoy this flavor-packed creation. Brace yourself for the feast... and the mess!
