Those extras sure added up though and a friend told me about getting covered by Club 4×4. I was a actually surprised at how competitive the quote was and that all the extras were covered so took out cover.
Imagine my horror when the huge hail storm came through Sydney recently ripped through our community and devastated my pride and joy. Thousands of people have been affected and unfortunately many are still waiting on their insurance assessors or authorised repairers. No so me – here’s my experience: The day after the hail storm struck I called Club 4×4.
That next day a truck arrived to take my vehicle to a local repairer where a Club 4×4 insurance assessor could take a look at the damage. A few days late Club 4×4 called me to say the repairs had been authorised and the bodyshop will start work on my vehicle immediately. I then got an e-mail of the damage report along with the repair bill Club 4×4 would be picking up – $26,000!! The repairs not only included fixing every panel on the vehicle as well as the roof, the windscreen and audio head unit, but replacing a lot of the bits and bobs I had added like a solar panel, roof racks and awnings etc. even the Black Duck seat covers I’d just bought. The repair work was a big job and took a few weeks to complete but the bodyshop called me regularly to keep me updated on progress. They even offered me a courtesy car even though I also have car hire cover with Club 4×4, but thankfully I didn’t need either. When the day came for me to pickup my vehicle I was gobsmacked at how good it looked – it looked amazing fully valeted and not a mark on it.
When I hear the stories of those poor buggers doing it tough up in north Queensland it puts the word ‘disaster’ into perspective, often its how we respond to adversity that matters and many people in my community that suffered damage during the recent storm are still waiting for a good outcome. My whole experience could have been made much worse depending on how people responded but it was made so much easier thanks to Club 4×4 and I am so grateful for the support you have provided – Thank you Club 4×4″.
